A bit of a higgledy piggledy post on my lipstick collection…. Every month or so I go through my makeup and skincare and set aside items that I don’t use much to pass on to others. This was one of those occasions - I just took a notion to photograph all of my lipsticks while they were laid out in colour groups and decided to turn it into a blog post. I wish the pics were clearer and prettier, but hopefully you won’t mind the au naturel style this time!
My colours are split into pinks, plums, nudes, reds, peaches and and a handful of lip liners, which I’ll do a separate post on soon. Here are some close ups with the lipstick bullets opened; shade names are listed in order below each pic. Lipstick Storage
Believe it or not, they all fit into this little drawer, about the size of my hand.
The drawer is part of this set of four from Ikea, which currently houses the majority of my day to day make-up. Top right is blusher, bottom left - eye products, bottom right - face products. This was just £9 from the Moppe range at Ikea (I intend to paint it to make it more pretty) - I should really have got the bigger size with one large drawer (£17). This has been sufficient for a while but I do miss things that are buried at the bottom, which I guess is the beauty of the shallow Muji acrylic drawers, which will probably be my next venture.
