I positively encourage you to locate some mistletoe pronto and challenge the nearest handsome man to kiss you hard enough to remove these lip colours!  They are the longest lasting I’ve tried, that’s for sure! This boxed gift set of Ultra Longwear lip pencils by New CID would make a really cute gift and as they need so little topping up, would probably last til next Christmas!

The colours are pretty too… here’s some swatches

Spot the difference: The swatches on the right were taken after I tried to remove them, rubbing quite vigorously with my finger… I couldn’t quite believe how well they stayed put. In fact I’m a teensy bit concerned about removing them before a party I’m going to!

These crayon style lip colours are really quick and easy to apply. Naturally some dryness is to be expected with such staying power, so I’d urge you to apply a lipbalm below these and/or a gloss on top.  I found them perfectly comfortable on my lips accompanied by balm.  My favourite is the brightest pink - a lovely deep rose shade - here’s how it looks on…

Other makeup I’m wearing is New CID foundation in Nougat, Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and Illamasqua blush. My eyes are done using the Warm Neutrals kit I reviewed here, (which I adore) plus Anastasia Brow Wiz and Green People volumising Mascara in brown-black (mentioned here).  I used Liz Earle’s brilliantly soft brushes to apply the eyeshadows - mega impressed with these, especially the crease brush.

New CID Ultra Longwear i-kiss Lip Colour Trio* costs £25 here

ps the starry thing at my shoulder is my son’s hood, not a random part of my outfit ;)

Have you found that mistletoe yet?
