It’s important not to neglect the skin on your body just because you don’t see it much during this half of the year - if you’re anything like me you’ll need a richer body moisturiser than usual… cold weather, central heating and being buried under layers of clothing can all make our skin unhappy and crave some extra tlc.
Dry patches and scaly legs begone with these four products I’ve been rotating, depending on my mood, exactly how much moisture my skin needs and how much time I have…
When my skin is feeling truly parched, I reach for 100% natural and organic Minvita Baobab Body Oil, made from seeds of the nutritious African Baobab superfruit. High in essential minerals and nutrients, this is designed to nourish dry and ageing skin, improve elasticity and encourage skin regeneration. It sinks in quickly and really soothes my skin - particularly good on lower legs when the mock croc effect threatens!
Yves Rocher Repair Lotion for Extra Dry Skin is made with rich Shea Butter and smells as good as it feels. I find this quite comforting to use, lovely for the evening just before bed. I’ll often apply it to my hands throughout the day too, just so that I can smell it! If you find the scent of Palmers Cocoa Butter a touch overpowering, you’ll love this.
Estelle & Thild Ecorganic Body Lotion with Neroli Bergamot is nourishing yet lighter in texture than the others, so great for when I’m in a rush. I generally apply body products in the evening, but if I’m in need of a daytime fix, this is the one I reach for.
I’ve wanted to try A5 Argan+ Ultra Rich Body Butter ever since I heard Jane at BritishBeautyBlogger rave about it when it first launched - and I’m not disappointed. Made with five oils including Moroccan Argan Oil and Coconut Oil, this is a real treat to use and my favourite of the four. I also have the scrub from this range and love it equally. Thick and silky in texture, it feels ultra decadent, yet is well priced and the tub is huge - oh and the smell is heavenly! I save this for when I want to feel truly pampered - it makes my skin feel like velvet.
What’s your favourite body moisturiser? I seem to have acquired a weakness for them!
