AERIN Spring 2013 Garden Color Collection

The prettiest Spring launch I’ve seen so far, AERIN Garden Color Collection encapsulates the brand’s effortless beauty ethos perfectly. Inspired by early Spring flowers, it captures ‘that first day of Spring, can’t-wait-to-get-outside-feeling.’

Floral Illuminating Powder, £45

Six soft pastel tones that can be swirled together into one brightening blush, infused with AERIN’s signature rose scent.  I’m intrigued to see how this will look on the skin and imagine the lighter tones will create a golden tinged skin enhancing glow rather than shimmer.

Spring Style Palette: A Garden at Dusk, £45

Blossom blush with Peony, Hyacinth & Dusk eyeshadows

One of two pretty palettes, both of which are very wearable.  Personally I’m more drawn to the second, A Garden in Bloom, with a pink toned blush and softer, nude eye colours.  The little zip up compacts are just gorgeous and very handbag friendly.

Aerin_Lip Gloss_PoppyAerin_Lipstick_Garden_Path

Poppy Lipgloss, £22 & Garden Path Lipstick, £24

I’m always drawn to slightly muted, soft-but-definite pinks, so both of these shades are right up my street, especially the Poppy.  A brighter pop of colour is also available with glosses in Cassis and Pink Rose and lipsticks in Tulip and Camellia.

Aerin_Multi_Color_for_Lips_and_Cheeks_Freesia

Multi Color for Lips & Cheeks in Freesia, £30

While I think this is a perfect shade of coral, I’m lured ever so slightly more towards its cool pink sister, Sweet Pea.  Cream products work brilliantly on cheeks in Spring/Summer and I imagine that these shades will look equally good on both lips and cheeks, which isn’t always the case.

What I love most about this collection is that it’s both glamorous and 100% wearable. So often at least one element of collections (limited editions in particular) lure us in with their glamour & sparkle, then end up being the kind of product we’d only use on a special occasion.  This one is different; I’d use all of these shades every day, which I guess goes some way towards justifying the cost.

The entire collection is very ‘me’ and if it were half the price I could easily be swayed into purchasing one of each item.  Forced to choose, I’ve changed my favourite(s) several times already, so I’m hoping you can help me girls - which is your favourite?
