Jo Malone Osmanthus Blossom: Blue Skies & Blossoms

If the first glimpse of blue skies and a whisper of warmth in the sun make you want to push heavy Winter scents to the back of the cupboard (along with your jumpers) then look this way. Jo Malone London is releasing a limited edition collection of its most popular blossom scents to capture the essence of Spring. Blue Skies & Blossoms includes Sakura Cherry Blossom, Plum Blossom and Osmanthus Blossom, beautifully presented with pink, purple and green metallic lids and matching striped bows.

Fragrance Director, Celine Roux describes the trio as ‘fresh, natural, authentic and much easier to wear’ than the ‘traditional heady bouquet scents’ worn by our grandmothers. As someone who doesn’t love heady or super sweet florals, I must admit I’m all over this concept... give me freshness every time.

Originally released in 2013, Osmanthus Blossom is effervescent with peach and Petitgrain on a base of cashmere wood. It reminds me of sticking my nose into a giant bouquet - green, citrussy and fresh, yet soft. Very much a daytime perfume to my nose, Osmanthus Blossom is the kind I want to spritz generously and inhale. Jo Malone claims that it works well layered over Blackberry and Bay - which I had to try as this is my current favourite - and must admit I love how it mixes with the herbal notes.

Have you ever tried mixing fragrances? It’s not something I’ve tried before, but I love the idea of creating my own unique scent.

Jo Malone Blue Skies & Blossoms collection launches soon at jomalone.co.uk rrp £86.
