Today my husband suggested that I go into town for a while & treat myself. I didn’t need to be asked twice. Forgive me for getting excited about such a teeny spree, but it’s been a while… It all happened at H&M, where I just stopped ‘for a minute’ & didn’t surface again for 1.5 hrs later… is it just me who does this - or do other people rarely get past one or two shops per session?!
Apologies in advance for the knackered looking face & messy hair - I wasn’t expecting to go shopping, never mind take pics, never mind show the world, but hey…
It wasn’t until I had it on that I realised the collar was faux leather, which made me like it even more. I’ve been wanting a Peter Pan collar as I love them, but was worried they’d be a bit too ‘little girl’ for my age… the pleather gives a slight edginess which I think prevents this. I just love the pansy print and the sheer back with keyhole cut out. It’s a teeny bit shorter than I’d like but I can live with that. Any ideas of what to wear it with for semi smart nights out?
Angel Sleeve Tee
I didn’t expect to like this top much, and was clearly ecstatic to find that I did!! Obvs it will be better without a dark bra under it! (God bless slightly tinted mirrors for making a girl look more healthy).
Closer in colour to the pic on the right and one of those dresses that looks way better in real life. Details like the asymmetrical length and rope tie belt appealed to me - and I think that styled properly, this could look amazing (preferably without a pair of jeans under it!!). I haven’t purchased it yet but intend to… I’m thinking with a tan, hair done in 50s style pin waves and the kind of accessories I lust over on Lovely’s Vintage…
Click on each image to view full details at Lovely’s Vintage Emporium. My choices vary in price from £55-£899… can you guess which is which?! And can one of you please purchase the shoes - I’ve been lusting over them for days (they’re my size - 8/41), but can’t justify them for my child-chasing lifestyle, despite their complete perfection! If you’re into vintage, be sure to keep an eye on the site as stock changes all the time - and follow the very funny & charming @LovelysVintage on Twitter.
