Liz Earle Colour launches new makeup collection Spring Summer 2012

Liz Earle Colour Makeup
Liz Earle’s new Colour makeup collection launched in the UK today following three years in development.  The colours look pretty and natural and apparently the range is all about ‘having great-looking skin, not great looking make up.’  Am I the only one who thinks it takes sooo much more time and effort to create the ‘perfect natural look’ than a full on glam evening look?

Words like ‘long-lasting pigments’, ‘radiance-boosting formulas’ and ‘magically blur fine lines and pores’ make me want to try these products immediately and I must admit I’m loving the looks on the models photographed here.  Their skin looks radiant, flawless and healthy, which is exactly the kind of look I love and if makeup can help me achieve it… well actually I depend on makeup to help me achieve it!  I was surprised to see talc as the first ingredient in some of the products and although it wouldn’t prevent me from exploring the prettiness, I’m sure it will some people.

“created to be worn together to help disguise specific skin
concerns such as dark circles, blemishes or uneven skin
tone, our ultra reliable make up essentials will help you
achieve naturally beautiful skin without heavy coverage.”

To give you an idea of prices, Blush (cream or powder) is £16.50, loose powder and bronzer is £19.50 and lipgloss is £13.50.  I must admit I was impressed with the Sheer Skin Tint, which I reviewed when it first launched {link}, so will be interested to see how other items in the range compare.
I like the look of the Natural Glow Bronzer, Natural Glow Powder Blush and Guava Lipgloss.  You can have a look at the items in more detail in Liz Earle’s Beauty Insider publication.
