With Christmas less than two weeks away, here are some of my favourite stocking filler beauty gifts, all coming in under £10. Budgets may be limited, but gorgeousness is most definitely not! Where possible I’ve provided direct links to each product… enjoy!
First up are these adorable Bath Melts by Patisserie de Bain from Rose & Co, which slowly soften and sparkle to release moisturising shea and cocoa butters and sweet almond oil. These vintage style fancies have the loveliest floral scent and are available in Lemon Sorbet, Strawberry Cupcake (pictured) and Violet… unused, the fragrance is powerful enough to make your bathroom smell divine! (I had to keep these well hidden from my six year old as they are so sparkly & pretty I knew she wouldn’t be able to resist a little nibble!)
Patisserie de Bain bath melts £10.00 for a box of 3 at House of Fraser (other sizes available)
Lipgloss & Perfume…
Everyone loves a little L’Occitane… these tiny treasures will slot equally well into a Christmas stocking or sparkly clutch bag.
The little tins of Limited Edition lipgloss in Rose and Violette are utterly genius - slide the lid open, apply and click it shut - they are so small and slim they fit perfectly into a jeans pocket by day or the smallest clutch for evening. The gloss is lightly fragranced, moisturising and provides a sheer wash of ‘just bitten’ colour on the lips.
The tiny tin of solid perfume is from one of L’Occitane’s Festive fragrance collections, Délice des Fleurs. With Rose and Violette at its heart, I think this gourmand floral fragrance with powdery and vanilla base notes would appeal to most women as a pretty daytime fragrance!
Délice des Fleurs Lip Gloss (in Violet or Rose), 5gr – £8.00 Délice des Fleurs Solid Perfume, 10gr – £8.00
(Sorry that I don’t have a direct link to the perfume, but you should find it in-store at L’Occitane shops and stockists.)
The double ended wand of Limited Edition Rose 4 Reines eau de toilette and lipgloss contains a gorgeous shimmery coral gloss (which reminds me of NARS Orgasm) at one end and roll on rose perfume at the other. The roll-on contains an intense version of the Rose 4 Reines Eau de Toilette, with fresh and velvety rose accents. I’ve slightly exceeded the budget with this one at £14, but it’s really like two pressies rolled into one!
From left, pictured in direct light and shade: Rock Solid, Rococo-A-Go-Go and Rock The World, all by Orly Mineral FX.
Orly Mineral FX has some of THE most gorgeous nailpolishes I have ever tried - the pics do not do these babies justice! I have a special penchant for the purple Rococo-A-Go-Go. If you buy one of these as a gift, be sure to order an extra for yourself - you won’t be able to part with it otherwise! Rock Solid - pewter with rainbow flecks of glitter; Rococo-A-Go-Go - the most amazing shimmering royal purple with amazing opacity & Rock Solid - a pinky plum base with bronze sparkle, which becomes more bronze the more layers you apply.
Orly Mineral FX collection is available at Beauty Bay for £7.50 each (also comes in ‘Emberstone’, a beautiful sparkling red!)
Lips & Cheeks…
Poppy King lipsticks are a long time favourite of mine and this ‘Balmy & Beautiful’ gift set is part of Ms King’s collaboration with Boots No7. It includes a creamy lipstick and cheek tint in a suit-everyone peachy brown nude, which slots into either end of a glamorous gold holder - and a dainty little booklet of blotting papers. Perfect way to treat a girl’s lips & cheeks!
Bright red Girl Tweezers by mister mascara that slot into a clever suction holder on your mirror so they never go astray… pretty, convenient and they work! Mister Mascara tweezers £9.10 at Urban Retreat’s Beautique.com
The lucky recipient of these gifts will need something pretty to keep them in… this retro style red & white striped Minnie makeup bag complete with a black patent bow and trim is pretty adorable! It contains a little clear plastic mini pouch for taking your essentials out and about with you!
Minnie Mouse Cosmetic Clutch and Pocket Pouch £8 at Boots and available on 3 for 2!
