Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel liner ~ Gold Funk Collection 2000

036

I do love a bit of glitter at Christmas… and have always wanted to try a gold glitter liner, but am reluctant to spend too much on a product that I know I’m only likely to use a handful of times.  I also wanted something reasonably subtle but buildable - and Collection 2000 has ticked all of these boxes with its Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in ‘Funk’!

I like the retro name and packaging - and the fact that I can draw a fine line which dries clear with fine specks of glitter, or go over it 2 or 3 times for a more full-on effect.

The brush is long and slim and sweeps easily across the eye and dries quickly without stickiness. You could also use this to draw little designs at the edges of your eyes or on your cheeks if you’re feeling particularly festive! I use it in a fine line on my upper lid and love how it catches the light. There’s a teeny bit of fallout but very little - I don’t get on well with most glittery eye makeup as my eyes are sensitive to the glitter, but I’m fine with this.

While it can be worn alone with mascara, this looks particularly good against bright or dark coloured shadows.  For such a budget range, I think Collection 2000 has some great products. I’ve used its lipliner for years - one of the best nudes I’ve come across (Cappuccino).

Best of all, the Glam Crystals Gel liner costs just £2.99 and is available on 3 for 2 at Boots at the moment. The gold shade I got is called ‘Funk’ but this comes in an amazing 14 shades according to Collection 2000’s website!!  Next I’d like to try Dig It - black and silver, or Rock Chic - black glitter.

What are your favourite glitter products for glamming it up at Christmas?
